Who are we?
We are a small, friendly group of patients working together with the practice staff to improve the services of Alrewas surgery for everyone.
We warmly welcome more volunteers to join us and share their ideas, skills and enthusiasm! We meet four times a year to discuss issues that concern our practice patients. The meetings are held either at the surgery (Monday lunchtimes) or the Methodist Hall (early Thursday evenings) and last for 2 hours.
What do we do?
We focus on patients’ feedback and surveys, patient education, health promotion and the practice environment. One of the projects we recently undertook was to introduce defibrillators into Alrewas and Fradley. We also provided training on how to use them, as well as workshops on essential first aid skills.
What we DON’T do
Please note that a PPG meeting is not a forum to raise individual complaints or to seek medical advice.
Our Virtual PPG is a patients’ email group is for those who wish to contribute to improving practice services but cannot attend face to face meetings. We ask the members of this group some questions from time to time – such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you have received. We will also send out the agenda and relevant documents prior to each meeting so that a virtual group member can raise any practice related matters.
